Damona Lodges is located on the Domaine de la Chausserie, a natural park 15 km from the town of Sables-d’Olonne and 10 km from Brétignolles-sur-Mer. Its location just inland from the coast makes it the ideal spot for your holidays: close to Vendée seaside resorts, the park offers a peaceful and more intimate environment than the main tourist areas.
The space spans 50 hectares of pine forest, marshes, and walking paths. It is enclosed, allowing animals to stay on-site and securing the grounds. One of the park’s natural borders is the Auzance River, which flows through the marshes of Île d’Olonne. Incredible flora and fauna flourish on our property: fallow deer, roe deer, foxes, pines, oaks, herons, woodpeckers… Part of the site is classified as Natura 2000 by the European Union, and we work to preserve its biodiversity.

It is in the heart of this exceptional site that we have installed our lodge cabins. It is important to us that these lodges for rent near Sables-d’Olonne harmonize with the park’s philosophy.
To ensure you make the most of the peace and quiet, we have chosen a limited capacity, which is why we do not want to exceed 50 accommodations.
Our lodge cabins are made of chestnut cladding, a material that matches the park’s aesthetic. We want these accommodations to be as environmentally friendly as possible while remaining comfortable and pleasant to live in. As such, each lodge can be occupied year-round thanks to high-quality insulation, a heating system for the colder seasons, and air conditioning for the warmer periods. Their placement on our land is no accident: positioned high up and with the right orientation, they benefit from natural ventilation.
We believe that interior decoration is important for feeling at home. We have carefully furnished the lodges to offer you 3 atmospheres to choose from:
- the rustic atmosphere, inspired by wood and the forest;
- the bohemian atmosphere, which favors brightness and natural materials;
- the ethnic atmosphere, inspired by distant cultures and inviting you to escape.
All our lodges share the same basic equipment:
- Covered terrace (pergola and canopy) with private furniture
- Equipped kitchenette: fridge-freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster. For 2-bedroom lodges, a dishwasher is provided.
- Reversible air conditioning + heating
- Free individual Wi-Fi, television
- Towels provided (Rustic, Bohemian, Accessible) — kit available as a paid option for Ethnic lodges
- Welcome kit (cosmetic kit + toilet paper)
- Lodge size: from 26 to 32 m².
Out of 25 accommodations, 15 of our units are equipped with a private spa. Enough to transform a simple night into a true stay with a private spa in Vendée, with a bath heated to 36°C year-round, facing the pines and away from prying eyes.

Our 1-bedroom lodges (suites) accommodate 1 to 2 people. Perfect for a romantic weekend in Vendée, they include one 160 cm bed. Available in Rustic, Bohemian (with a private spa heated to 36°C), or Ethnic (without a spa, with a 140 cm sofa bed in the living room for a third person) atmospheres.
The headquarters for families or trips with friends in search of nature. Our 2-bedroom lodges accommodate up to 5 people.
In addition to the facilities mentioned above, this lodge features a unique bedroom with an 80 x 190 cm cabin bed, accessed by small steps, and 1 trundle bed (80 x 190 cm each). These 2 beds can be pushed together and raised to create an adult sleeping area of 160 x 200 cm. Available in Rustic or Bohemian atmosphere with a private spa. A dishwasher is included in the kitchenette.
The toilet is separate from the shower room.
A lodge specially equipped for people with reduced mobility (Bohemian atmosphere, with spa) is also available.

Unique stays with hotel services for rent in Vendée
While Damona Lodges prioritizes the independence of its visitors so they can enjoy the park in peace, we offer hotel-style services to simplify your stay. Regardless of your booking:
- beds are made upon your arrival (in Bohemian and Rustic lodges);
- 1 welcome kit is provided: shampoo, shower gel, and soap;
- towels are provided: 1 large sheet and 1 small towel per person, bath mat, tea towels;
You can also dine within our Vendée park thanks to our selection of Vendée products. Our prepared jars are created in collaboration with local artisans, and our aperitif basket consists of local products. All our breakfast options are available upon request.
You will also find a grocery corner at reception. We sell our favorite sweet and savory treats, made in Vendée. Choose from beers, spreads, and fleur de sel from local trade, as well as local wines and canned fish—lovely regional gifts to give after your holiday.

Do you provide bed linen and towels?
Beds are made upon your arrival, and towels, bath mats, and tea towels are at your disposal in the Bohemian and Rustic lodges. As an option for Ethnic lodges, the sheet kit is €20 and the towel kit is €5.
Do we have Wi-Fi in the lodge?
Each lodge is equipped with its own free Wi-Fi.

What should we bring when staying at Damona Lodges?
Upon your arrival in the Bohemian and Rustic lodges, we provide: bed linen, towels, tea towels, two trash bags (1 for the bathroom, 1 for the kitchen), one roll of toilet paper, two mini cleaning kits (dish soap + cleaner), a bag for plastic waste sorting, and two shower kits (one shower gel, one shampoo, and one soap).
Upon your arrival in the Ethnic lodges, we provide: tea towels, two trash bags (1 for the bathroom, 1 for the kitchen), one roll of toilet paper, two mini cleaning kits (dish soap + cleaner), a bag for plastic waste sorting, and two shower kits (one shower gel, one shampoo, and one soap).
We do not provide anything related to food (coffee capsules, tea bags, condiments, etc.). We therefore ask you to bring your own.
You can bring additional cleaning and shower products if necessary.
What temperature are the spas heated to?
The spas are heated to a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius throughout the year. It is not possible to lower or increase the temperature.
Are the lodges accessible to people with reduced mobility?
One of our lodges with a spa is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility. The spa does not have a hoist system.
